Time Flies

Wednesday, May 24, 2006

When you're a million places at once,

You see the world, but never touch it.

You meet The Girl, so space can crush it,

and feed your soul to the mosh pit,

...when you're a million places at once.

Some think happiness is liquor,

and some think powdered kicks come quicker,

but I just think of how I miss her,

as the miles mold to months.

And if I run from

What I've come from

I’ll see undone

All I once won

But if I stand on something

Fixed to nothing

I've guised as Love

A life of Lusting.

I'm trusting...

I'm trusting…

That every man's got his place in the sun,

And mine must be Place One Million and One.

Damn Kids

Thursday, May 18, 2006

Most people in my industry call you guys "The Kids", but I try and avoid that term for a number of different reasons, one being that I'm younger than a lot of you... I also think it's a bit disrespectful in it's connotations.  All of that aside, "The Kids" started showing up, and I started to remember what I was doing in New York.

I grabbed a guitar and sang some tunes with the front row. It was definitely a treat to meet some of you face to face... exchanging practiced words at the tops of our lungs.

Numbers

Friday, May 5, 2006

Journal,

Sometimes, money can tear you away from everything you had once cared about in earning it, and by the time you’re done counting you’ve got nothing left but the numbers. Tonight, I was forced to talk numbers with an old friend… And I know they’re not the ones he wanted to hear.

...There's no place for feelings in business.

(Or so it's said.)
