Earth Day
Tuesday, April 22, 2008
We find Puggy (my other dog) sleeping on the deck, and he joins the caravan. Then, the three of us climb into the shower where I wash the dogs and quickly dry them off. Afterwards, I jump back in to rinse the fur from my hands and feet.
I bought some new soap, and looking at the packaging, I’m pleased to see the various eco-friendly stamps and labels. It feels good to know that you’re working towards an ideal.

I wonder what people would feel like
if they were confronted with these images more often.
And then I consider a more imperative quandary:
Would they change their habits if the costs of their consumption
were no longer hidden?

Even 'fashionistas' have the wherewithal to track trends and discipline enough to follow them... If we take time each day to think, I’m sure all of us can find something worth changing.
It’s Earth Day, so I’m going to grab a Burrito, ponder and celebrate.
I hope you’ll do the same!
Here’s some of the stuff mentioned above:

haha, i think everyone should adopt those truthful labels. that poor monkey. "we kill monkeys and..." it's sad, but the label was quite cute.
i'd definitely buy... something else.
(:
It's nice to see hat there are people who actually care about saving our planet. Not just talking about doing it, but actually doing it. You're awesome, ronnie.
Thanks for the welcome Ronnie
Thanks for the welcome Ronnie
love the links.
I'm glad someone else cares about the Earth Day hooplah. It's reassuring.
Keep blogging. It's wonderful.
It's amazing that there are still people in the world who still care so much about everything. It's lame in a way how being vegetarian and 'Going green' have become a fad, but it's also good, until they fad changes. I've been a vegan for almost a year now, so has my best friend. We support eachother and yesterday we celebrated by planting trees. We're doing more over the summer too.
Everyone should think about doing stuff like that. It takes two trees to produce enough oxygen for one person.
I love you more everyday I read one of your blogs. You are so right.
